Airports
The Airport at Puerto Escondido is able to receive smaller planes. From the US or other cities within Mexico, you will need to first fly into Oaxaca and then catch a connecting flight into Puerto Escondido.

Basic Directions
While driving into Puerto Escondido is possible, you will be better off flying in. The drive from Oaxaca is about a 7 hour drive and the road is mountainous and very remote. Only take this road with a car in excellent condition. Another option is driving from Acapulco on Highway 200 but has the same conditions as the drive from Oaxaca. Because of the conditions, it is not recommended to drive at night. While in Puerto Escondido, a few car rental companies are available for your convenience.
