Manzanillo's airport is called the Playa de Oro, and is fairly small. You may be able to find a flight from Los Angeles, but an easier option may be to fly into Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara and drive a rental car south to Manzanillo.

Manzanillo is four hours by car south of Puerto Vallarta, along a well-maintained two-lane coastal road (Highway 200) with spectacular views of the Pacific. 200 continues south past Manzanillo to Zihuatanejo, about another day's drive farther south.
